AI surfaces with bring-your-own-key
Intelligence
Tutor, summarizer, and suggester surfaces across Eternia. You bring your own AI account — OpenAI, Anthropic, or local Ollama via CLI subprocess. Eternia never sells you AI on top of AI.
What it actually does
- AI is bring-your-own-key
- Tutor, summarizer, suggester surfaces — not a chatbot detour
- Conversations stay on your machine unless you choose otherwise
- OpenAI, Anthropic, or local Ollama supported

How BYOK works
Your AI account, your bill, your data. Eternia doesn't sit between you and the model.
When you set up Intelligence, you paste an API key into Settings. The key lands in flutter_secure_storage — DPAPI-protected on Windows. Conversations route directly from the launcher to your provider over HTTPS. Arcadia servers see none of them unless you opt in to share specific responses.
Today's providers: OpenAI, Anthropic, Ollama (local subprocess). The Ollama path means you can run a model on your machine and never touch the cloud at all.
Why we don't sell our own model
Selling an AI subscription on top of an AI subscription would be charging twice for the same hot dog.
Models are commodities. Your relationship with your model provider is yours. Our job is to make AI useful where it helps inside the launcher — and to stay out of your wallet, your conversations, and your training data.
